AN INITIATIVE OF SPA BHOPAL WITH EIGHT OTHER UNIVERSAL DESIGN SCHOLARS OF PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUTES
A group of industrial designers, architects, ergonomists and access consultant from prestigious academic institutions (IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee and NID Ahmedabad) and a few proactive NGOs in India, collectively made a humble attempt to formulate ‘Five Universal Design India Principles’ with strong Indian idiom to design inclusive products, environments and systems. The Principles were released in a Press Conference held at India Habitat Center on 21st June, 2011 organized by National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

3.SPA Bhopal proudly announces the publication of a book titled ‘Designing Inclusive Educational Spaces for Autism’ authored by our Professor, Dr. Rachna Khare. This book is published by the ‘Institute of Human Centered Design’, USA and was released in the event called ‘Build Boston’ organized by Boston Society of Architects on 18th November, 2010 held at World Trade Center at Boston. During the Build Boston event, the Institute of Human Centered Design (IHCD) hosted a reception in the honour of the author of the book Dr. Rachna Khare and a book signing ceremony was also held during the event. SPA Bhopal congratulates the author and thanks IHCD for this useful publication
