About Shweta Saxena:

Shweta Saxena is Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal, India. She is the co-editor of SPANDREL, ISSUE 10 “Learning from Informal Settlements” (SPA Press, 2015). She enjoys the multifaceted nature of architectural education; however, her core interest lies in environmental design. Having presented her work in India, USA and Canada, and being a LEED accredited professional, she brings to the institution the knowledge of current global trends and measurable means of sustainability. Recently, her research efforts are directed towards evaluating various pedagogical approaches in architectural education. Her Doctoral research is aimed at development of tools for assessment of learning in Design-build studio types.

At SPA Bhopal, she also serves as Girls Hostel Warden. Presently, she is also a member of curriculum revision committee and crèche committee.
